SURFACE PREPARATION
& APPLICATION
Follow these steps to get the best cosmetic finish from your QuickCoat 20ml touch-up bottle.
Surface Preparation
- 1
Clean the damaged area thoroughly using isopropyl alcohol (IPA) and a clean cloth. Remove all wax, grease, polish residue, and dirt. Extend cleaning slightly beyond the repair area for best adhesion.
- 2
Allow the surface to dry completely before application.
- 3
Ensure the area is cool, dry, and out of direct sunlight.
- 4
Do not touch the cleaned area after preparation, as skin oils can affect adhesion.
Application — Solid Finish
- 1
Shake well before use.
- 2
Apply a thin, even layer over the damaged area using the built-in brush.
- 3
Apply 2 to 3 coats, allowing each layer to dry before applying the next.
- 4
Build coverage gradually for best results.
- 5
Allow the final coat to fully cure before handling.
Application — Metallic Finish
- 1
Shake well before use.
- 2
Apply light, even coats using the built-in brush.
- 3
Wait approximately 5 minutes between coats.
- 4
Apply 2 to 3 coats, building colour gradually until coverage is achieved.
- 5
Once dry, apply a clear coat over the basecoat for gloss, protection, and durability.
Brush application is intended for small cosmetic repairs only and will not replicate a factory spray finish. For larger areas or seamless blending, professional spray application is required.
